The road & its landscape
Ranwu brings lake water, snowy mountains and forest into the G318 journey. The changing foreground is more important than a single postcard colour: water clarity and exposed lakebed vary with season and conditions.
Confirm current road opening, motorcycle admission and stopping arrangements. The public-road approach, internal scenic-area transport and any sand or gravel riding are separate parts of the journey.
Scenery along the road

Ranwu town
The town is the junction between G318 and the road towards Zayü. It is a useful place to separate the main through journey from optional visits.
Open lake views
Snow peaks and water fill the mountain basin. Do not promise permanently blue water: changing runoff and lake levels are part of the landscape.
Bomi direction
The G318 continuation introduces a more wooded valley setting. A Laigu visit requires a separate check of local road and transfer arrangements.
Road conditions & preparation
Plan each stage around altitude, seasonal weather, fuel, accommodation and the road surface. Confirm distances and daily riding times against the actual road line you choose, and make separate arrangements for scenic-area transfers or specialised off-road sections.

Summarised from public sources. A historic tourism plan describes a corridor, not current road access. Track authors retain ownership of their files.
