Benelli / Touring family update

TRK 702 and X: a new screen, with the road choice still to make

The 2027 announcement adds navigation and display changes; earlier chassis differences are retained as dated background.

Meet the motorcycle

Two versions in one touring family can answer different journeys. The useful comparison starts with how much time you spend on asphalt, how often the last kilometres are gravel, and the load you carry. A more capable display helps organisation; it does not decide which tyres, seat and chassis will suit a long day.

The 2027 announcement confirms a new 7-inch TFT, navigation and graphics. The April 2025 Euro5+ platform facts below remain dated background, not a claim that every 2027 component is unchanged. Photos of the earlier UK models are explicitly identified as platform references.

UNDER THE SURFACE

The changes, explained.

01

Read the navigation update accurately

The change

The family gains a larger TFT and navigation functions.

How it works

A display can present map or turn information, while the data source and phone connection determine what remains available offline.

What it means on a ride

Check route importing, glove operation and charging during a normal travel day.

The consideration · Navigation support does not guarantee downloadable maps, GPX compatibility or free lifetime service.

02

Two wheel approaches in one family

The change

Earlier versions use different front-wheel sizes.

How it works

Radius, tyre selection and steering geometry influence the balance between road feel and obstacle response.

What it means on a ride

Choose against the roughest section you realistically intend to ride, then assess the much longer paved part.

The consideration · The 2027 final wheel and tyre details need confirmation before carrying over the old comparison.

03

Heat and wind protection are practical questions

The change

Earlier Euro5+ equipment improved cold-weather comfort.

How it works

Warm hands support dexterity, but airflow around a helmet depends on rider dimensions and screen position.

What it means on a ride

Verify what remains standard in 2027 and try it with the clothing you use on trips.

The consideration · Previous-year equipment must not be advertised as a new 2027 addition without evidence.

04

Where the top box sits matters

The change

The earlier update revised the rear rack.

How it works

A load placed farther behind the rear axle has a larger leverage effect on front-to-rear distribution.

What it means on a ride

Keep dense items forward and low and confirm passenger back room.

The consideration · A visually shorter rack is not an increased load rating.

05

A mature platform still needs a current sheet

The change

The current notice is an equipment update.

How it works

An unchanged item and an unmentioned item are not the same: silence does not prove a mechanical carry-over.

What it means on a ride

Request the model-year sheet, service plan and a complete price including luggage.

The consideration · Do not copy another market’s engine figures or registration category into a local purchase.

Long journeys, different surfaces

Road touring

Evaluate wind noise, seat pressure and daily service needs with your intended load.

Gravel access

Verify the chosen version’s tyres and repair tools, and keep a conservative line.

Wet city surfaces

Avoid sudden steering over paint and metal covers. A new screen cannot change available tyre grip.

Passenger touring

Confirm preload, payload and luggage clearances on the final bike.

Navigation away from coverage

Test the actual navigation setup without mobile data before depending on it in a remote region.

Price & budget

Published prices are identified by country. Where a tariff has not been confirmed, no numerical estimate is substituted for a manufacturer price.

Official prices and clearly labelled estimates
Market / statusPrice
Europe · official priceNot announced in the reviewed release
Mainland China · official priceLaunch and price not confirmed

Check the delivered-market specification and a written quotation including registration, delivery and accessories. Prices in one country do not establish availability or a converted retail price in another.

Where it fits

Choose a 702 version by route and fit, then judge whether the new navigation improves your routine. The 2027 update is worth covering without inventing a new engine or chassis.
